Collectors Sidekick Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Collectors Sidekick is made by Blue Ridge Card Vault LLC ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
The short version
- Your cards are yours. Your inventory, sales, trades and shows are stored on your device and in your own Google Drive. They are never stored on our servers, and we can't see them.
- No ads, no tracking, no selling your information. Ever.
- Card photos stay on your phone unless you turn on an AI scanning option, which sends them to the company you chose (see Scanning below).
What we receive
- When you buy: Polar, our payment company, handles your payment and license key. We receive your name, email address, what you bought and your license key. We never see your card number. Polar's own privacy policy covers the payment itself.
- License check: when you activate the app, it sends your license key to Polar to confirm it's valid.
- If you email us for help: we receive whatever you send, and use it only to help you.
Your inventory and Google Drive
To sync between your phone and computer, the app saves your data to a private app folder in your own Google Drive. When you sign in, Google asks you to allow this. The app can only use its own folder: it can't see or open any of your other Drive files. We never receive your Google password, and your data doesn't pass through us. A small sign-in helper we run on Cloudflare swaps Google's one-time sign-in code for the app's access pass; it stores nothing and never sees your cards.
Collectors Sidekick's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can stop syncing at any time by removing the app's access in your Google Account settings (Security, then Third-party apps with account access).
Scanning
- Built-in text reading (standard): the photo is read on your device and never leaves it.
- Free Google AI key (optional): your key is kept only on your device. If you add one, card photos you scan are sent to Google to be read, under Google's terms for your key. Google's terms for free keys may allow Google to use what's sent to improve its products. We don't receive the photos.
The app doesn't keep scan photos. It reads the card and discards the photo.
Hosting
The app's files are delivered by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare may briefly keep standard technical records (such as an IP address) to deliver the app and protect it from attacks. These records never include your inventory.
Deleting your information
- Your inventory: in Google Drive on a computer, open Settings, then Manage apps, find Collectors Sidekick and choose Delete hidden app data. To remove it from a device, uninstall the app or clear the site's data in your browser settings. Save a backup first if you want one.
- Your purchase record: email us and we'll delete what we hold, except records we have to keep for tax and legal reasons.
Children
The app isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. A significant change will also be announced in the app.
